I think my favorite thing I've ever said about Sting was in the van on the way to San Antonio:
Tommy: "Sting does Tantric Sex, he can have sex for like 20 hours!"
Taylor: "Yeah, but its probably just like his music, it goes on forever and nothing interesting happens."

ZING!!
No, but seriously I hate that guy's music.

This song is nice however the album is spectacular. There is no one that has listened to this album more than me, outside of Robbie. The album has fantastic music. The lyrics are true Robbie, they are full of ego. The album title is perfect. The standout tracks are "She's the one"and "No regrets" to me. However, the general public would like "Millennium" and "Angels." However, Jessica Simpson ruined "Angels" for me forever. The album ends with him mumbling something to what would appear to be someone from his childhood. He is basically telling them off at at end of his cd saying "look at me, I am amazing." The ego has truly landed.

This is a fantastic song. I just saw a nice piece on him on a show on FUSE called "Live at Abbey Road." If you have never heard of it, check it out. It comes on Sunday nights. Anyway, he was on the show and they show the artists singing 3 songs at abbey road. He did really good, he has a big band with horns, BGV's the whole bit. I read in Rolling Stone years ago that he wants to write a dance song that the world loves like the Bee Gees did with their hits. There is my 2 cents on Jamiroquai.

Agreed. The strings are sampled from the Bond theme "You Only Live Twice". Hell, the video is Robbie doing his James Bond impression.

Do i see a JUF cover in the future?

Jason, I just read this post and the next. First of all, thank you for explaining a bit of your thoughts. I always find this interesting. Next, thank you for your honesty as well. I find myself having similar thoughts at times. I am a parent of two children and I see myself at times teaching them something that I haven't mastered and I feel like a hypocrite. I like your last line that says "...but should instead, be humbled and understand the responsibilities that come with the acceptance of our faith." I am constantly humbled by my children and feel a similarity to what you are talking about here. My hope for myself as a parent and a Christian is that I am always trying to learn and apply that to my life. To always be growing. I believe that the biggest problem with Christianity is the Christians. Hopefully people can see Christ and look past us. Once again, thank you for these posts, as a fan of your music, it's nice to get some of the inside scoop. P.S. You missed a great rock-n-roll weekend in Springfield this last weekend.

I always enjoy your blogs and I wish you wrote more often. I guess I'm one of those who eventually let my "why's" win out, but I don't think we're all bitter at god. Some of us are just done trying, I guess. Listening to the new EP as I type, and I haven't had a chance to say it, but its great. Can't wait to hear more.
